About our Store

What happens when passion meets innovation?

  • When traditional practices meet modern applications
  • When family values meet business ideas?
  • When clothing meets sustainability?
  • When a fashion designer’s perspective meets a mother’s love?

A carefully curated, passionately handmade, sustainable kid’s clothing brand is born!

Introducing Li’l Ohana – a collection of naturally dyed clothing for your little ones.

Our Logo

A logo is a reflection of a brand’s vision/ethos and ours is no exception! With children at its core, our brand Li’l Ohana envisions making their childhood happy, free and comfortable. Our logo represents just that – a child holding a balloon can only be synonymous with joy and carefree happiness!

It also symbolises our core value of holding tight and keeping alive the art of hand weaving passed down by our ancestors.

And why is our brand called Li’l Ohana?

Ohana is a Hawaiian term that refers to the familial bond that Native Hawaiians share. The name resonates with us when it comes to 2 things

  • Our aim to create a familial bond with our customers,
  • Our core value to uphold the traditions of weaving passed down to us by our previous generations

Meet the Mama Behind the Brand

They say that ‘Life doesn’t come with a manual; it comes with a mother.’ So who knows a child better than its mother? What if the mother is a fashion designer and comes from a family of traditional weavers? Meet the mama behind Li’l Ohana, Alka Manoj.

Alka is a graduate of fashion design from Heriot Watt University, Dubai.. She comes from a family of traditional weavers and has a strong connection to the art. The start of her motherhood journey marked not just the beginning of a new life but also the beginning of a new brand – a sustainable and comfortable range of clothing for children.

Who we are

Ohana means family, and this family that I own, Is an effort to weave a connection and untie the knots. Weaving sustainability and tradition, my family will not be forgotten, we are all the definition of Ohana and your Ohana nourishes you the most.
